Mimi: Stop! I'm trying to focus on playing waysub surfers!

Mimi and Patricks mother Sharol is talking to her friend in Canada on the phone.

Sharol: Oh,yes! How is your sister Susan? I heard she got a really bad case of sugma. Oh she’s doing fine? Ok, that's good.

Patrick: (Interrupting) MOM I”M HUNGRY I WANT FOOD!!

Sharol gives patrick a death stare

Sharol: Be quite Patrick! Mummy's trying to talk to her friend.

Flight attendant: Alright everyone, we'll be taking off in just a few minutes. In the pocket next to you is a guide on how to fasten your seatbelt.

Mimi: Mum, I'm scared.

Patrick: Weird lady in dress can I have some-- FOOD!!!

Patrick:(disgusted) ugh please-

Mimi- But I WANT PRETZELS!

Mimi: Heck Yes! My Favorite!

Patrick: Bet I can eat my peanuts faster!

Mimi: Nah-Uh! I´m gonna win!

Patrick and Mimi: Three, two, one Go!

Patrick basically shoves the whole pack of thirty peanuts in his mouth.

Patrick: Mom, I don't feel so good.

Patricks cheeks puff up and he becomes dizzy and nauseous.

Mimi: No fair! You cheated! I swear you did!

Sharol looks at patrick.

Sharol: Oh my goodness Mimi what's happened to Patrick what did you do!?

The flight attendant rushes over to the Patrick dying of severe allergic reaction

patrick: Am I dead?

(Suddenly Patrick gets jabbed in the arm with an epipen by the Flight attendant

Patrick: OW! That hurts weird lady.

Mimi: Haha! Shame stupid.

Sharol: Anyway as I was saying Susan-

Flight attendant: God I hate my job.

The kids get back to bickering and the flight lands in their destination

I found it hard to work fast on my play.

I found it easy to work on the script with my group.

Maybe next time I could work a bit faster.

Terrible Pool Trip!

WALT: Write a recount about our end-of-the-year pool trip.

Splash! Giant kids dive into the deep blue pool. Water flew everywhere! the Screams and noisy music filled the entire pool. Everything was far too loud. Suddenly all volume faded, my vision went blurry and I couldn't breathe! Something was pushing me down. It got harder and harder to breathe or even move by the second. I screech for help but my screams weren't enough. I feel myself lose air faster and faster as I panic. I kick whatever was on top of me and quickly swim towards the surface to get oxygen. I inhale as fast as possible without a second thought, but the taste of chlorine grew even stronger. I swallow without thinking and cough up what I can. Big waves rush over my head as I float in the warm shallow pool. A whistle goes off and everyone rushed out of the pool. ¨What a terrible pool day¨ I whisper to myself as I load my heavy wet bag into the dirty old bus.

I found it easy to remember about the pool day.

I found it hard to write an interesting recount.

Maybe next time I could put a little more effort into my work.

Pet/Ag Day

WALT: Create interesting creations with recyclable materials.

On the 30th of September at Ahipara School, we celebrated pet day. Our normal celebration however was forced to be canceled and re-made into a new plan. Pet day is also called Ag day, short for Agricultural day. The idea is basically in the name. You bring your pet to school and basically show them off! Dress them up, walk them around, and the best part is, you get a fun day. However as you can imagine, covid hit hard. Very hard. We were forced to go into level three which caused us to go into lockdown. By the time pet day came around, it was still level two. This meant that judges couldn't judge the students, and parents couldn't enter the school. As you might think, we were super freaked out. But luckily for us, the teachers came up with a compromise. Instead of a normal pet day, we could make recycled animals, potato characters, Orca drawings, and much much more. Here are a few photos of our incredible day!

Reflection:
I found it hard to: get recyclable materials to create a creature.
I found it easy to: draw my whale/orca.
Maybe next time I could: Put more effort into my projects, and work.

Thanks for reading about our pet day! Have you ever had a pet day before?

 WALT: Understand What Gaming Is

I learned that esports is not physical sports, but mental sports that challenge your mind and your abilities. Esports is also another way of saying 'professional gaming' and or 'competitive gaming'

I also learned that over 67% of New Zealand's population plays video games.

5 Interesting Facts:

  1.  People make over $400 dollars playing fortnite
  2. Fortine has made over $2 million dollars a year
  3. LPL Stands for Lets Play Live
  4.  3.07 billion people play video games world wide
  5. LPL Is fearly new to New Zealand and is built right next to the sky tower, one of the most well know buildings in New Zealand.

Ki O Rahi.

WALT: play Ki O Rahi properly. This morning room 5 played a game called Ki O Rai. We tried our best and over all the yellow team won! We all showed good effort, leadership and team work during this game. Ki O Rahi is a game where you have to pass, rip, defent and attack. You pass to your team mates, rip off the enamies tags, defent the base and attack the base. It seems pretty complicated but its really simple once you get the hang of it.
After this game I learned that its kind of tricky but still very fun. I lso learned that team work is valued very much and that its almost impossible to do this game by yourself.
