 We were learning about blog comments.

I found it easy to follow the instructions.

I found it hard to think of good words to put on the fridge.

I really enjoyed looking at the funny drawings on the fridge.

Next time I need to make it a little clearer. 

How Life Was Created.

How life was created.

Hundreds of years ago, far before today, two gods named Tane and Maui created life itself! But before we start this tale we need to go all the way to the beginning of time!

At the beginning of time two gods named Rani the sky father and Papatuanuku, the earth mother, separated into two parts. Earth and sky. This was the birth of Tane and Maui.

 They were shocked to see that there was nothing but darkness… Maui took a step into the darkness. It felt like ashes beneath his feet. Then Tane took a step. ¨MAROKE!¨ (ouch!) screamed Tane! ¨What's the problem, you old stump!?¨ threatened Maui! ¨kona koi...¨ (it's sharp…) whispered Tane under his breath. Maui heard and looked even angrier.

 ¨I have no patience for a weakling like you!!!¨ screamed Maui in a hard tone. ¨ kaore I te aroha ki to Maui…

(I do not like your idea Maui…) 

¨heatua Kau koe¨ (Oh hush you useless god!) Maui told Tane looking intimidating.

 Tane looked down. Feeling insecure about himself. He then looked up and stared Maui right in the eyes. Maui turned around and started walking off. ¨Pai! Haere tonu ki Maui!¨ (Fine go on Maui!!) yelled Tane. Maui stopped. He then ran up to Tane and screamed in his face ¨FINE YOU OLD HAG!¨ 

They both walked their separate ways. Tane was sad and fell down crying. He sat there for so long that he turned into a tree.

 Finally color came into the world all thanks to Tane. Maui on the other hand was surprised to see color and was drawn to the ocean but was said he had drowned in the huge tides.

 Now every time there's a tornado or a tsunami or even an earthquake. It is said that it is a war between Maui and Tane
